DID YOU KNOW that the Morgan Hill Independence Day Celebrations are brought to you by a group of volunteer citizens with the support and assistance of the City of Morgan Hill and most importantly...YOU?
The City of Morgan Hill remains one of the only two cities in the San Francisco Bay Area that continues to have all day events surrounding the Fourth of July Holiday. Our Independence Day Celebration includes the Fire Cracker Golf Classic, Patriotic Sing, Art Contest, Street Dance, Freedom 5-K Run, Historic and Award Winning Parade, Car Cruise, Downtown Family Festival and Car Show, and a spectacular Fireworks and Entertainment Show.
In 2006, the events drew over 50,000 people. The parade itself is the largest privately organized parade in all of Northern California and the official Independence Day Parade of Santa Clara County.
Our Historic Independence Day Parade dates back to 1894, and for the past 26 years the entire multi-day celebration has been organized by the non-profit citizen's group known as Morgan Hill Independence Day Celebrations, Inc. (I.D.I.). Ours is truly a "hometown event" dedicated to preserving our national and local heritage and celebrating our freedom.
It takes well over $90,000 and requires nearly 300 volunteers each year to organize and produce this Celebration. Support for the event comes from patriotic-minded private and corporate citizens. You are invited to become one our our valued corporate sponsors.
This year we have enhanced our sponsor benefits at each level to increase your value for greater recognition of support. Please return the enclosed donation form by May 18th in order to be included in our Award Winning Even Program and other promotional activities.
Please feel free to call us with any questions you may have.
Thank you for your consideration. |
